I’m Iñigo Revuelta (b. 2005), a Spanish photojournalist based in Brussels, where I combine my documentary work with my studies in architecture. This double background strongly shapes my visual approach, allowing me to use spatial awareness to deeply contextualize human stories within their environments.
For me, photojournalism is a vital tool for documentation and collective memory. Rather than seeking sensationalism, my work aims to bring attention to complex social issues, conflict zones, and systemic neglect—capturing both the harsh realities on the ground and the quiet resilience of the people living through them.
My current focus is centered on East Africa, particularly Ethiopia and South Sudan, where I carry out long-term architectural and anthropological work. I have reported on illegal weapon trafficking along the South Sudan border and documented the deep aftermath of the civil war in northern Ethiopia. Alongside conflict reporting, I work with isolated indigenous communities to preserve their traditions through visual archives, while also exposing state neglect and the severe lack of essential services such as public education and healthcare.
Through independent reporting and long-term commitment on the ground, I strive to bridge the gap between underreported realities and international audiences. My work is available for editorial assignments, commissions, and collaborative documentary projects globally.
